Dr. Kaufman, an expert in testosterone replacement therapy, is the Director of the Men’s Sexual Health Center of South Florida. His research has been published in peer-reviewed journals, and he has presented abstracts at regional and national meetings of the American Urological Association and the American Society of Reproductive Medicine.
Dr. Kaufman received the Pfizer Scholar in Urology Award in 1998. He serves as Chief of Urology at JFK Medical Center, where he is a regular speaker for the hospital’s Prostate Cancer Support Group.
Dr. Kaufman is Board Certified, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of the Palm Beach County Medical Society, and has been named a “Super Doctor” in urology by his peers since 2008.
Heather M. Cherry is a Florida Licensed Clinical Social Worker, graduating with a Masters from Florida International University in 2008 with a minor and Certificate in Addiction Practice. Additionally she graduated from the Florida Sex Therapy Institute in 2009, and is a Certified Sex Therapist under Florida regulations.
She currently works full time at the Miami VA Medical Center as a mental health provider in the Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Clinic. She has also worked for several years in an acute psychiatric setting and as a Recreational Therapy Assistant. In addition to her work at the Miami VA she had worked for two years with the Alliance for LGBTQ youth as the South Dade Coordinator.
Additionally Ms. Cherry has a private therapy practice in Aventura, Florida with a focus on non-traditional/alternative lifestyles, as well as assisting Transgender clients with transition and evaluations for attaining Hormone Therapy and Gender Confirmation Surgeries. She is trained in Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and working with Perinatal and Post-partum Mood Disorders.
